Minturn and Massey complete loan moves

Town youngsters head out on short term deals…

12 September 2022

Swindon Town duo Harrison Minturn and Oscar Massey have both completed one month loan moves to National League opposition.

Defender Minturn, who is 18-years-old, has joined National League North side Gloucester City, while striker Massey, who is the same age, has opted for a brief spell at National League South outfit, Hungerford Town.

The two youngsters have only featured a few times in the Swindon first-team this campaign, with both playing in our 2-0 defeat away at Walsall in the Carabao Cup First Round back in early August, and Minturn also earning some minutes in our Papa John's Trophy opener against Crystal Palace Under-21s last month.

Harrison signed his first professional contract with us last year, making his first-team debut in November 2021 during an EFL Trophy group stage tie against Newport County, playing the full ninety in a 1-0 win.

His move to Gloucester will be the second loan spell of his career, spending a short period at Chippenham Town early last year before being recalled in March.

Forward Massey signed for Swindon in the summer following his release from League One side Plymouth Argyle, where he was a prolific goal scorer at youth level.

The pair will now head to their respective loan clubs to gain some valuable competitive minutes.

We wish them both all the very best over the coming weeks and look forward to monitoring their progress.
