Mo Dabre seals loan move to Banbury

Town youngster heads to Puritans on short term deal…

23 September 2022

Swindon Town ace Mo Dabre has joined National League North outfit Banbury United on loan until the end of October, subject to FA approval.

The 19-year-old, who has only featured in Scott Lindsey’s first-team in their Carabao Cup and Papa John’s Trophy campaigns this term, heads to The Spencer Stadium for a month, where he’ll have the opportunity to get some more competitive minutes under his belt as part of his continued development.

The move signals Dabre’s second loan of his career, having spent a short time at Chippenham Town in National League South back in February last term, where he made eleven appearances, scoring once.

Mo spent his youth career in Italy with Serie C side Lecco 1912 before moving to England, where he went on to join the Volenti Academy.

He signed for Town in August 2021, making his senior debut the following month in the EFL Trophy against Arsenal Under-21s, opening the scoring in a 2-1 victory.

Mo heads to Banbury where he’ll join fellow Town team mate Harry Parsons, who has made an impressive start to his loan spell at The Puritans after signing for them last month.

We wish Mo all the very best and look forward to monitoring his progress over the coming weeks.
