Swindon Town's opening game of the season has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
Town were due to kick off their 2023/24 season against Colchester United this afternoon at the JobServe Community Stadium, but heavy rain in north Essex has postponed the start of the campaign for both teams.
Referee Anthony Backhouse deemed the pitch unplayable due to the surface being waterlogged following a pitch inspection at 2:30pm.
A new date will be confirmed in due course for our rearranged trip to Colchester United.
