Swindon Town

Swindon Town are delighted to announce the signing of defender Benn Ward from Burnley on a season-long loan, subject to EFL approval.

The defender started his career at Brighton and Hove Albion, before joining Hastings United in order to secure men's football at just 16-years-old. 

The 19-year-old would go onto move to Burnley in January 2021, and signed his first professional contract with the Clarets the following year. 

Although now regarded as a centre-back, Benn can play left-back and in midfield, which adds to his versatility.

Benn Ward becomes Town's seventh signing of the season, joining Murphy Mahoney, Dan Kemp, Liam Kinsella, Jake Young, Udoka Godwin-Malife and Tariq Uwakwe.
