Swindon Town Women will be looking to build on the performance that ended their FA Cup run, with a home fixture against Torquay United up next for Richard Wood’s side.
Kick-off is at 2pm at Foundation Park and Town come into this game with the more favoured form as, Torquay united have had a difficult start to the season, with a form record of one victory and seven losses in the league so far.
Most recently, Town played AFC Bournemouth Women in the second round of the FA Cup in which they fell to a last minute 2-1 defeat and shift all focus fighting for top position in the league.
Torquay find themselves 10th in the FAWNL table, with Swindon looking to use their confidence from the last 3-3 fixture in the league against Moneyfields to push themselves up the table on Sunday.
Last week, Annie Colston secured her 50th goal for Swindon and will look to continue her unbelievable start to this season. Meanwhile, Grace Purnell will miss out in this fixture, following last Sunday’s injury in our FA Cup fixture that resulted in a dislocated ankle and fractured leg.
Town will be looking to push for their seventh victory after an impressive form since the start of season and will continue this in their FAWNL fixture this weekend.
