Louis Reed completes January move to Mansfield Town

Midfielder heads to Field Mill for undisclosed fee…

15 January 2023

Swindon Town midfielder Louis Reed has today departed the club and joined Mansfield Town for an undisclosed fee, subject to EFL approval.

The 25-year-old, whose contract at SN1 was up this summer, heads to Field Mill where he will link up once again with Nigel Clough, who handed him his professional debut at Sheffield United when he was just 16.

Reed joined Swindon back in August 2021 from Peterborough United, and following an impressive debut season at the County Ground, was voted the club’s Players’ Player of the Year.

In total, he has racked up over 60 appearances in a Town shirt in all competitions, scoring three goals.

This season, he netted the winner from the spot as Swindon beat Barrow back in mid-December, a result that propelled The Robins up to fourth in the table.

He was also an ever-present in the club’s surge to the League Two play-offs last term, where they narrowly missed out on reaching the final.

The football club would like to take this opportunity to thank Louis for all his efforts during his time with us, and wish him all the very best for the future.
