Swindon Town midfielder Ricky Aguiar has joined National League side Torquay United on loan, subject to EFL approval.
The 21-year-old, who penned a new deal at The County Ground running until 2025 back in July last year, heads to Plainmoor on a one month deal to gain some regular game time to aid his continued development.
The former Shoreham, Lewes and Worthing graduate joined Swindon Town back in August 2021, and has made twenty-four league appearances for the club.
During that time, he’s netted two goals, with both coming in a 5-0 home thrashing of Walsall in League Two back in February last year.
This latest move signals the second time Aguiar has gone out on loan, having spent a very productive spell at neighbours Chippenham Town last season, where he scored seven times in thirteen outings.
Torquay United currently sit second bottom in the National League table after a difficult campaign so far, which has seen them pick up just four league wins all season.
Gary Johnson’s side are next in action this coming Saturday with a home league clash against Halifax Town.
