Swindon Town Women are delighted to announce that number one goalkeeper Emily McGrogan has signed a new two-year contract to extend her stay at the club ahead of the forthcoming 2023/24 campaign.

McGrogan, who is set to enter her third season at the club, kept six clean sheets last term and earned a nomination for Swindon Town Women’s player of the season award with her exceptionally consistent performances.

Upon signing her new deal, the young goalkeeper said, “I’m pleased to re-sign for another season. I have enjoyed the past two seasons I’ve been here and I’m looking forward to the beginning of the season.

“I have enjoyed working with him,” McGrogan said of new manager Mike Cook. “He has a lot of experience in the game and I’m going to learn a lot from him throughout the season.

“I’m really looking forward to the upcoming season, building on last year and hopefully pushing on for promotion.”

Swindon Town Women manager Mike Cook said, “Emily is fast becoming an outstanding goalkeeper. It’s excellent news for the club that she has agreed to re-sign.”
