Swindon Town defender Ellis Iandolo has today departed the club and joined Colchester United for an undisclosed fee, subject to EFL approval.
The 25-year-old, who has been at the club since 2015, heads to Essex where he will link up again with former Town Manager, Ben Garner, whom he played every game of the 2021/22 League Two campaign under his tenure.
Ellis originally joined the Reds in July 2015, after he impressed playing for the SEFA Scholars against our Under-18s and has since gone on to make 172 appearances for the club.
Last term, the full-back opened the scoring against Walsall in our festive fixture on Boxing Day while making 23 appearances before spending the remainder of the season on the sidelines with injury.
He was also an ever-present in the club’s surge to the League Two play-offs in the 2021/22 campaign, where they narrowly missed out on reaching the final.
