Cowmeadow opts for Supermarine loan

Young Town forward heads to The Webbswood Stadium until the end of the current season...

Swindon Town forward George Cowmeadow has agreed a loan move to Swindon Supermarine until the end of the season, subject to EFL approval.

The 19-year-old has made just two first-team appearances in a Robins shirt so far this term, and embarks on his third loan spell of the current campaign.

He joined Slough Town for a month back in September last year, making just the one appearance, before heading to Southern League Division One Central side Kidlington last November.

He appeared five times for The Greens, and last month, penned a short-term loan at Southern League Premier Division South promotion chasers Poole Town.

The Welshman, who joined Swindon Town back in 2014, will now spend the remainder of the 2022/23 season down the road at Supermarine.

Under manager Lee Spalding, they currently sit sixth in Southern League Premier Division South and host Gosport Borough at The Webbswood Stadium this evening.

We’d like to wish George all the very best over the coming weeks, and the club will be monitoring his progress closely.
