Football club releases match day and season ticket pricing for 2023/24

All the ticketing details you need in time for next season…

10 March 2023

Swindon Town Football Club can today confirm pricing for all match day and season tickets for the 2023/24 campaign.

At present, we currently sit just outside the play-off places with promotion to League One still very much our aim this term, with an ambitious young manager in Jody Morris driving us forward.

With the purchasing of the County Ground set for completion at the end of this monthalongside you, our dedicated fans, the club is embarking on one of the most exciting journey’s in its long history.

Knowing we’ll own our stadium with our supporters means so much to us, and will not only bring us closer together, but enable us to make joint decisions on itssustainable development for years to come.

For us, there’s never been a better time to be a part of something as special as this, and with big plans in the pipeline to drive this great club forward, the future is looking incredibly bright both on and off the pitch.

As a football club, it was really important we considered every aspect when it came to deciding on our new season ticket pricing structure, taking into account the current cost of living challenges you as fans face, and the hike in food, energy and other bills that we as a club face, estimated at around 17%.

We held a period of detailed consultation with our Advisory Board, OSC Supporters Club and Supporters Trust to ensure our new pricing reflects our current financial outlay and forecast for the year ahead to keep driving us forward, are in keeping with the current rates we charge and most importantly, are as fair as they can be given the challenges we face in our quest to get back onto a more solid financial footing.

We also realise the importance of investing in our first-team so we can achieve promotion and move up the divisions.

Season Ticket prices..

Taking all the above into account, we’ll be increasing the price of a season ticket by 5% during an ‘early bird’ period running from this coming Monday (13 March) to Saturday 29 April 2023.

Then, from Sunday 30 April, there will be a further increase of 5% on top of that, which will see the overall cost of a Town season ticket rising by 10%.

It goes without saying that season tickets provide excellent value, and even with the increases mentioned above, the cost of a ticket per game within the ‘early bird’ window comes in at just £17, with it rising to £18 a match after that period - which signifies a £10 saving on a normal match day ticket.

Or to put this another way, you basically get the final nine games free of charge, and are only really paying for 14.

To reiterate, Our ‘early bird’ season tickets will be available to purchase from 9am on Monday (13 March) via Bank Transfer as our shop will be closed on that day, with a range of payment options available thereafter.

You can also email us at queries@swindontownfc.co.uk with your client refence number and the ticket package you’d like to purchase, and we’ll respond with a payment link which we’ll confirm once the funds have been received.

You can also use Bank Transfer, debit and credit cards, purchase directly from our club shop via card or cash, or over the phone by calling 033 0002 1879, selecting option one.

Please be aware you may encounter delays on our phone lines when we launch with queues likely, but we appreciate your patience in advance.

Free membership with our official Supporters Club…

Something we haven’t done previously is offer free membership to join our official STFC Supporters Club.

When purchasing your season ticket, you’ll just need to opt in at no extra cost.

Our Official Supporters Club have been running for more than 92 years, having been setup back in March 1931.

They aim to make supporting Swindon Town as enjoyable as possible, providing engaging events and initiatives throughout the season.

They put fans at the heart of their decision-making ensuring the views of supporters are represented, including at our regular Advisory Boards meetings, and host their popular Monday Night Panel online.

You can find out more about their work via their official website at www.stfc-osc.com

Please note: If you've not consented to third party communications when opting in, please rest assured none of your personal information will be shared.

Women’s Team season tickets…

For the first time, we’re also offering season tickets for our Women’s Team for the 2023/24 campaign.

These are priced at £40 for an adult, £20 for seniors (aged over 65), £10 for under-18s and those under 11 go free.

These can be purchased using all the payment methods mentioned above.

Next term, we’ll be hosting five of their fixtures at the County Ground after the success of their cup games at SN1 earlier this season.

Investing into our women’s team is a key focus for us moving forward, and we really want to grow their fanbase and increase their profile, and we hope this will go some way towards enhancing this.

Junior Reds season tickets

We’re bringing back our Junior Reds season ticket initiative, where our next generation of fans aged 10 and under can purchase their own ahead of next season.

This was something we used to offer up until 2021/22, but will be bringing back to encourage younger supporters into the County Ground to enjoy football, with feedback from fans stating they’d love to see this reintroduced.

These are priced at £40 for the season, and also include benefits such as birthday cards on their big day, a gift at the beginning of the campaign and entry into a variety of exclusive competitions and events, offered on a first come, first served basis.

Match day tickets…

Once again, having consulted with all our respective parties and taken the price increases for our season tickets into account, we will also be raising the cost of a match day ticket for next season.

Although, for obvious reasons, we would always encourage fans to purchase a season ticket, we understand this isn’t always viable for many.

From the beginning of next term, the price of a match day ticket will be rising by around 7%, with a full breakdown in the table below:

A word from our owner, Clem Morfuni

I’d liked to start by thanking you all for your continued support, and hope you’ll understand the reasoning behind our price rises for next season.

We’ve liaised at length with the likes of our official Supporters Club and Supporters Trust, and came up with a pricing structure that we think takes into account the cost pressures we face and the need to keep investing.

“We have done our best to reduce the increases as best we can while trying to maintain our path to being a financially sustainable football club, with our aim being promotion to League One

I’d like to reiterate my personal commitment to every single one of our fantastic supporters that every penny you hand over will be reinvested back into the club and stadium.

“We’re at a really exciting point with regards to our future, and I hope you’ll all continue to join us on our journey to success both on and off the field.

“Grab your season tickets from Monday and encourage friends and family to do the same. We’d love to see some new faces in the stands next season cheering us on.”

We’ve revamped the ticket section of our website…

In order to make all our ticketing information accessible and easy to understand, we’ve updated this section on our website.

By clicking on the ‘Tickets’ tab on our homepage, you can navigate your way around all the information you need, which has been split up and published under several different headings.
