March Advisory Board minutes released

Read all the key points discussed at our latest meeting…

14 March 2023

We’ve published the latest edition of our Advisory Board meeting minutes for March, which can be read in full on our official website.

Several key points were discussed, which included the following:

  • Our season ticket pricing for 2023/24 was discussed with OSC and TrustSTFC, with revised pricing agreed with the club, limiting price rises to 5% for an ‘early bird window’.  Further payment options will be released soon for supporters.
  • Work to integrate the women’s team and plan for the 2023/24 season continues to progress and is on track.  Season tickets are available from £40 on the clubs ticketing portal.
  • The club, Foundation, Trust and OSC will work together with Michael Doughty, our Chief Sustainability Officer, to prepare plans for a strong environmental agenda going forward. The OSC will be hosting a fundraising event in the Legends Lounge on Monday 27 March with Michael talking about his career and plans for the future. A 5k run will be held with Michael ahead of the Stockport County game on Saturday 25 March.
  • The County Ground purchase is set for completion on Friday 24 March, with Trust STFC due to launch their plans for supporters to buy shares from this date, and information provided ahead of the Stockport fixture.
  • Health and Safety issues were discussed with the EFL and FA on continuing to clamp down on fan behaviour, with the club experiencing issues in the Town End recently, with children and the frail impacted during celebrations.  The club have provided more stewards in this area an increased signage, and we will support them by moving people to different seats to enhance safety. Concerns are being monitored by the Sports Ground Safety Authority who provide the club with a licence to host matches.
  • Big thanks to First City Nursing, the OSC and the Trust for supporting our new sensory packs, which have now been ordered and will continue to ensure the County Ground is accessible for all.

These were just some of the many topics discussed in the meeting, and you can read the full document by clicking here.

The sole purpose of our Advisory Board is to meet monthly to review and assess the performance and strategic direction of the football club, while ensuring there is open, transparent and regular engagement on key matters impacting all aspects of the club.

It also builds on the memorandum of understanding that was signed between the club and TrustSTFC, and continues the commitment from both to maintain open and honest engagement with its fanbase.

The STFC Advisory Board meets every month and there is an opportunity for fans to raise questions via TrustSTFC and the Supporters Club.

The meetings present an ideal opportunity for supporters to share feedback, ideas and suggestions to the club’s management team, so we encourage everyone to get in touch with either of the supporter groups.

If you have questions relating to business matters and those off the field, please contact info@truststfc.com, and please contact admin@stfc-osc.com for fan engagement matters.
