3 May 2023

As the 2022/23 campaign draws to a close, it’s time for you to select your Player of the Season.

Voting is now open, so simply make your pick from our four-man shortlist below.

You have until 3pm on Sunday 7 May to submit yours!

Remeao Hutton

Our flying wing-back has impressed since arriving at the club from Barrow last summer.

His instant impact in a Town shirt has seen him notch the most assists of any defender in the EFL, and is up there with the elite across Europe’s top five leagues, setting up an incredible 12 goals this term.

Hutts consistent performances also saw him scoop consecutive Town Player of the Month awards back in October and November.

Sol Brynn

The Town stopper has made a huge impact this season since joining on loan from Championship side Middlesbrough and been an ever-present in the Robins starting line-up, playing every league minute so far.

Sol’s efforts have seen him keep 13 clean sheets, and individually, the ‘keeper has made a remarkable 133 crucial saves.

With countless Man of the Match awards over the course of the campaign and three Town Player of the Month accolades to his name (August, September and December), Brynn has no doubt proved a fans’ favourite during his time at The County Ground.

Jacob Wakeling

Robins starlet Jacob Wakeling was another summer arrival and has undoubtedly proven his worth over the course of the 2022/23 campaign.

Featuring in all but one of Town’s League Two matches so far, the 21-year-old has bagged eight goals and added five assists.

Jacob’s stunning volley against Salford (which is also nominated for Town’s Goal of the Season) saw him land the Sky Bet League Two Goal of the Month award for February.

His outstanding campaign also saw him nominated for the Sky Bet League Two Young Player of the Season recently.

Jonny Williams

Our final nominee is, of course, Town’s top goal scorer Jonny Williams, who has contributed a ten goals throughout the campaign to date.

The Welshman’s exploits saw him nominated for both the PFA and Sky Bet League Two Player of the Month awards for October, a period where the 29-year-old grabbed four goals and made one assist.
