This Saturday's game against Stockport to be Remembrance fixture

Town to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice

10 November 2023

Swindon Town’s League Two match against Stockport at The County Ground will be the club’s annual Remembrance fixture.

The club will pay its respects to all those servicemen and women who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for our country in armed conflict with a short ceremony ahead of kick-off.

We ask that you make your way to your seats by 2:50pm, with players planned to begin entering the pitch at 2:54pm, in time for our Armed Forces Day Pre-Match ceremony, which will start at 2.55pm.

We respectfully ask supporters to remain silent throughout the whole ceremony, which will last for three minutes.

We’ll have military personnel marching out of the tunnel alongside the players ahead of kick-off, where they’ll lay wreaths and ask supporters of both clubs to join them in paying tribute.

That will be followed by a bugler who will play the Last Post and there will be a minute’s silence, finishing on the referee's whistle to remember the fallen.
