Swindon Town Football Club are delighted to confirm that WEBBS Builders Merchants have agreed to be the new third shirt sleeve sponsor for the 2023/24 season and scoreboard sponsor also for this season.
The deal means that as well as the WEBBS Builders Merchants logo being proudly displayed on the third shirt sleeve for several away matches, there will also remain branding on the scoreboard situated in the Stratton Bank stand.
WEBBS Builders Merchants (formerly H.J.Webb & Son) started in the late 1960s when founders John & Isobel started importing plywood on a very small scale - before that Montague, John’s Father, used to sell the odd building product from the site in the 1930s. Today, Webb’s is owned by Jez and founder Isobel wife of the late John Webb.
Swindon Town FC Chief Commercial Officer James Watts said: “We are delighted that WEBBS Builders Merchants have sponsored our third shirt sleeve for the 2023/2024 season and continued to be our scoreboard sponsor until the end of the season. With this new product being announced by the EFL at the start of the season it has created a new source of commercial revenue for the club and we are delighted that WEBBS Builders Merchants have seen the value in the opportunity”.
WEBBS Builders Merchants Director, Jez Webb said: “Being a lifelong, passionate supporter of the club, I am extremely proud to end up being a sponsor as well as a friend to many at the club.
“This sponsorship has had huge benefits in the past and I very much hope I can continue this support in the future”.
