Match Preview: Swindon Town Women vs Portishead Town Ladies

Town back on home turf in their latest FAWNL league fixture

23 February 2024

Swindon Town Women are looking to their latest FA Women’s National League fixture, with Portishead Town Ladies up next for Richard Wood’s Side.

Kick-off is at 2pm and takes place at Foundation Park as Swindon takes on a team that currently sits in eighth position in the league table.

Most recently, Town were looking ahead of their midweek fixture against Keynsham Town but due to heavy rain, unfortunately, the game had to be called off extending Town’s miniature break.

Looking further into their latest FAWNL fixture, Swindon have scored 57 goals and conceded 33 times in all competitions, with Portishead scoring 34 and conceding 58.

In terms of results, Swindon have the advantage going with 3 wins out of their last five games as well as securing a place in the final of the FA Wiltshire County Cup and Portishead Town Ladies also have won their last two games but come with a mixed form of looses and draws going into this fixture.

Swindon Town Women will hope to continue their fine performances after back-to-back victories over Selsey and Southampton in their latest two fixtures and will be looking to add another victory tomorrow.
