Swindon Town Women continued their impressive form in the FA Women’s National League with a comprehensive victory over Selsey Women on Sunday afternoon.

A threatening first half from Swindon Town Women gave them a six-goal lead going into the break with Annie Colston on the scoresheet four times, Gipsy Viveash with an early goal and Georgia Clifford to give them that advantage.

Holly Randall, Mia Mugford and Georgia Vandries got their goals after coming off the bench in the second half, as well as Colston who scored another three goals and saw Meg Jarvis with a brace and Helena Diaz-Butcher with a goal.

Off the back of a 1-0 victory against Southampton Women in the FAWNL, Town looked to continue their impressive form this season and got off to the best start with Gipsy Viveash opening the scoring within a minute after kick-off.

A glorious ball from the right-hand side by Meg Jarvis crosses the ball to perfection and Viveash was unmarked to slot the ball into the roof of the net to give Town the lead.

Within seconds later, Town made it two, with striker Annie Colston firing the ball into the bottom corner as Swindon looked to be the clear team in ascendency from now on in this game.

Hitting the 10-minute mark, Colston grabbed her second goal of the game from close range and not long after, Colston got her first hat-trick of the year from a ball played neatly by Viveash who used her pace down the wing and the striker turned away from her defender comfortably to secure her third.

After a corner was swung in by Town, Georgia Clifford was quickest to react and superbly placed the ball into the bottom corner, giving Town a resounding lead going into the midway point.

Just before half-time, Colston got her fourth and made it six for Town from an easy through ball that met the striker's feet, who made a good run inside the box and calmly slotted the ball past the keeper.

Half-time: Selsey Women 0 Swindon Town Women 6

It was Megan Jarvis who scored from the kick-off whistle for the second half and made it number seven for Town.

For the rest of the second half, it was a solid performance from Swindon as they furthered their advantage over Selsey, as all three substitutes which were Holly Randall, Mia Mugford and Georgia Vandries got themselves on the scoresheet to give Town the lead the team’s performance deserved.

Winger Helena Diaz-Butcher had the best time on the pitch with several impressive assists throughout the game as well as putting a lovely end to the game and settling the game with a victorious 15-0 victory.

Following this result, Swindon Town Women will take plenty of confidence in their upcoming FA Women’s National League fixtures, with Keynsham Town Women up next at Foundation Park.
