Swindon Town are delighted to announce the signing of Leeds United forward Sean McGurk on a permanent deal, subject to EFL approval.
The 20-year-old progressed up to U18s level within Wigan Athletic's academy, before earning a move to Leeds United in 2021.
Previously, McGurk joined the Latics at U14s level and impressed as he progressed through the Club's Academy to U18s level, when he was part of their superb run in the FA Youth Cup, scoring against Manchester United in a 2-1 defeat at Old Trafford in the Quarter-Final.
The midfielder had played for Wigan’s U18s and U23s and was part of the squad which were crowned Professional Development League National Champions against Charlton Athletic back in May 2021.
Following his move to Leeds over three seasons, McGurk continued to develop and refine his trade with the attacking midfielder gaining valuable first-team experience in the EFL Trophy in 21/22 and 22/23 and also showcasing his ability in Premier League 2.
This season, McGurk has continued to impress in Premier League 2, scoring four goals and three assists in eight appearances as he looks to bring this similar kind of form to Swindon Town for the second half of the 2023/24 season.
