Town support sustainability with first Pledgeball fixture

Club continuing to support sustainabilty for this weekend's game

8 February 2024

Swindon Town take on Salford City this weekend, with this Saturday's fixture being our first Pledgeball fixture of the 2023/24 season.

Getting involved is simple. Fans can make a pledge (up until midnight on matchday) to take actions that reduce the impact that we have on our surroundings.

The group of fans who have pledged to save the most carbon emissions by midnight on matchday will see their club win the Pledgeball fixture and climb the league table.

There are some amazing prizes up for grabs this year, so Swindon fans make sure you register yourselves today! For your chance to WIN, click here.

The more fixtures you pledge in support of Swindon Town, the more times you’re entered into the prize draw.

Town fans have the potential to make a significant change:

  • 1 County Ground’s worth of fans simply reducing their meat consumption by 50% equates to taking over 1511 cars off the road
  • 1 County Ground’s worth of fans simply switching to using public transport instead of driving equates to taking over 3136 cars off the road

The impact we can have is huge - not only through reducing our emissions but through the influence it has on friends, family and beyond.

Katie Cross, CEO of Pledgeball, said, “It has been a pleasure to work so far with both the club and supporters - the mutual ambition to come together to drive change as the Robins is incredible and unique.

"Clearly, the club and its community have huge potential to drive change, both locally and to set a precedent across football. We are delighted to be working with Swindon Town and its wonderful community."
