Forward arrives from AIK

Swindon Town are delighted to announce the season-long loan signing of AIK forward Zach Elbouzedi, subject to EFL approval.

The 25-year-old started his professional career with Inverness Caledonian Thistle after spending three years of his youth career with West Brom between 2014 and 2017.

After a successful spell with Inverness where he was part of the side he won the Scottish Challenge Cup in 2017–18, Elbouzedi joined League of Ireland side Waterford.

The forward scored six times in 29 appearances for the club, before earning a move to League One side Lincoln City in 2019, before moving on to Bolton Wanderers where he was part of the squad that earned promotion in 2021.

The Dublin-born man has also earned several international appearances across the Republic of Ireland youth age groups, representing his home country from U15s up to U21s level, including representing Ireland at the Toulon Tournament in 2019.

Elbouzedi then earned a move to his current club AIK in the top tier of Sweden, (Allsvenskan), where he has been since 2021 and will now return to the EFL and help push Swindon up the table for the second half of the season.
