As part of making the County Ground as inclusive and accessible as possible, Swindon Town Football Club are progressing with plans to create a Sensory Room at SN1.
Disability Liaison Officer, Caroline Lane has been at the centre of initiatives such as our Sensory Packs, a Social Story called 'Suzie and Sammy go to Swindon Town' written by Author, Charlotte Olson, and our newly refurbished Junior Reds Room.
With the continuation of evolving the County Ground, we've been busy working behind the scenes on plans to introduce the County Ground's very own Sensory Room in the Arkell's Stand.
With any project of this complexity, a large number of funding is required to complete a transformation, and adding this to the County Ground would largely benefit lots of supporters in attending football matches.
We've recently launched a GoFundMe, where we are asking for donations from supporters who can contribute towards this project as well as many local Businesses who have already shown interest in getting involved.
We'd like to thank, Chairman, Andy Cossens from the Official Supporters Club and Neil Hutchings of TrustSTFC who have agreed to assist with the development of the Sensory Room at the County Ground.
We are also running a Raffle, where the money raised will be donated to our GoFundMe, where Captain Charlie Austin and teammates hand-signed an EFL and Level Playing Field 'Unite For Access' T-Shirt and tickets are £1.
