Richard Wood believes his team have been “pretty ruthless” in recent matches against Portishead and Billericay as they look to face Bridgwater this Sunday.
Swindon Town Women are back in league action after a short break from competitive football, and Town will be hoping to continue this winning streak this weekend.
In preparation for this weekend's upcoming match, Town played in a friendly against Billericay, which manager Richard Wood said: “Not only is it good for match fitness and keeping everyone sharp, but it posed us problems both in an unusual shape and their intensity.
“It is great for us to have issues and problems that we can then tackle and deal with particularly with our organisation, when a team is strong and pushes you that’s always good for our learning.”
Wood went on to discuss recent addition Hattie Jones following his appearance against Billericay to gain some experience in this Swindon Town Women's side, he said: “I expect Hattie to make her full competitive debut at some point on Sunday which will be great.”
Town Women's boss went on to say: “She is somebody that has been out on concussion protocol so she needs to build up her match fitness I would say before she is fully up to speed but she has integrated into the squad as she has always been here so that’s positive.”
Looking at this weekend's opposition, Bridgwater is a side that has only won one match in this half of the season so far, currently sitting in 7th position and 10 points below Town Women.
Swindon, meanwhile, has won three out of five in their last five league games so far and will be looking to snatch another win at the weekend to finish the 2023/24 season in a positive manner.
