Goalkeeper Lewis Ward signed for Swindon Town on a one-year contract in July 2021 following a successful trial period.
The 24-year-old began his career with Reading, but spent a number of loan spells with the likes of Portsmouth, Sutton United, Margate and Hungerford Town.
Ward signed a two-year contract with Exeter City in June 2019 for an undisclosed fee, although a broken arm curtailed his progress somewhat.
Another loan spell with Portsmouth followed before Ward spent this summer on trial at SN1, impressing enough to earn a full-time contract, and he went on to make his Town debut in our Carabao Cup tie away at Cambridge United in August 2021, keeping a clean sheet in a 0-0 draw as the game went to penalties.
Away from the pitch, Ward has a Degree in Sports Journalism from the University of Staffordshire.
