Despite an improved second half, Swindon Town were unable to respond to Tuesday night's result with a disappointing 2-1 home defeat to Doncaster Rovers on Saturday afternoon.
Maxime Biamou opened the scoring with a well-struck volley before Hakeeb Adelakun made it two with a low effort into the bottom corner.
Swindon started the second half well with a Paul Glatzel header shortly after the second half began, but couldn't find a second despite a better second 45 showing to give them anything from this weekend's action.
