Ladies face Spurs on Sunday

25 August 2016

SWINDON Town Ladies have another difficult away game on Sunday when they travel to face Tottenham Hotspur in the FA Women’s Premier (Southern) League, writes Roger Reeves.

With the Town being promoted into the Premier League, the two clubs have never met before in League action, although last season the two sides faced each other in the SSE FA Cup and on that occasion, the London side were victorious.

At the end of last season Tottenham finished in mid-table. Spurs were without a fixture last Sunday due to the withdrawal of Forest Green Rovers.

Looking ahead to Sunday's clash, manager Steve Robertson said: "Although we lost at Charlton last week we have gained experience from the game and there some good invidual performances.

"Again, we know Sunday’s game will be hard but we have got to expect this every week at this level."

The Town again have a full squad to select from:

SQUAD: Robyn Levett, Alice Smith, Sam Quinn, Chenise Austin, Serena Smith, Ellie Maynard, Alison Witts, Chyna Collings, Abby Piction, Yvette Kemp, Savanaha Winstone, Georgia Walter, Michelle Rich, Sally Butterfield, Clare Hill and Sam Wiggan.
