Town Head Coach Luke Williams has promised that his side will be heading to Fleetwood with the aim of returning to Wiltshire with all three points.
The Reds are in action away at Highbury Stadium on Saturday (3pm Kick-Off) for the first of six huge cup finals as they continue their fight for survival.
Fleetwood will also be looking to secure a huge three points as they attempt to close the gap on the top two, and Williams has outlined what his troops need to do in order to win the game.
“We have to try to stop Fleetwood first and foremost because if we give them something to protect, then they are even better than they are when it is all square,” he said.
“We need to try and make sure that we keep them out of our goal as well but, ultimately, both teams really need the three points and they will be having to come out at some point to really attack and they might leave themselves with a problem at the back.
“We of course are in a similar situation and, whilst we don’t want to concede, we have to commit people forward to attack as well because we need the points.
“It will be a very difficult game, we’re aware of that, but we’ve got a game plan that we’ve tried to be clear on during this week so that we give ourselves the best chance.
“A draw will be a bad result if we miss out on safety by one point, but possibly not and we don’t know at the moment, a point might be enough to ultimately get us to where we need to be.
“We’ll go there prepared to get all three points and we’ll see what happens.
“Fleetwood are doing a lot of things right and it is showing on the pitch - they are well organised and they have got a plan going forward.”
Spirits have been high in and around the club this week following the dramatic 1-0 victory over Millwall last Saturday, but Williams has insisted that his players aren’t getting carried away by the result and are fully focussed on Fleetwood.
“I don’t think anybody is too high at all,” he added.
“We obviously celebrated the moment because it was important and the pressure is relieved when you score a really late goal.
“We celebrated at the time but I don’t think anyone is jumping for joy and we’re very focussed on preparing for the Fleetwood game.”
