Cooper: The Players Are Bright & Bubbly

2 October 2015

MARK Cooper says that his side are ‘bright and bubbly’ ahead of tomorrow’s meeting with Blackpool.

Following Tuesday’s point at Doncaster Rovers, Town travel to Bloomfield Road for the first time in a decade on Saturday afternoon and the manager told STFC PlayerHD that his team are looking forward to taking on the Tangerines.

“They’re still a bit frustrated we didn’t take three points but one point is better than nothing,” he said. “They’re bright and bubbly and looking forward to Saturday at Blackpool.

“It would have been better if we got the three points (at Doncaster) but it’s important that we stopped the so-called rot, re-focus and get back on track.”

He added: “They (Blackpool) got their first win on Tuesday night which is a bit of a monkey off their back so I’m pretty pleased they did that before they played us - you don’t want to be the first team to get beat but they played quite well the other night. They have a couple of lively forwards and I’m sure they’ll fancy their chances on Saturday.”

Finally, the manager gave an update on the current injury situation at SN1.

He said. “Wes Thomas we lost – he’ll be out for four to six weeks. Nathan (Thompson) is still a few weeks away and Jordan Williams has got a bit of fluid on his knee so we’ll have to wait to see if he makes it.”
