THE STFC FITC Football Fans in Training participants did the club proud at the weekend where they participated in the National 7 a side in Edinburgh.
Swindon White and Swindon Red gallantly contested against strong opposition throughout the day with teams being represented by Aberdeen, Celtic and Rangers to name but a few.
Incredibly the Swindon Reds who were beaten 5-0 by Hamilton Academicals in their first group game managed to battle their way through to the final of the sixteen team tournament where they faced Hamilton again.
A tightly contested game ended in a 0-0 draw with the mighty Reds clinching the silverware by winning the penalty shoot out 4-3. It was a truly memorable weekend with everybody having a fantastic time and we would like to offer our sincere thanks to our counterparts in Scotland and the SPFL Trust.
