Williams on Blackpool

19 February 2016

LUKE Williams doesn't expect his players to get a minutes' peace tomorrow afternoon against Blackpool.

Anticipating a hard-working Tangerines side at SN1, the Town boss believes that last week's result at Colchester United has boosted the team's confidence.

"We got back to scoring plenty of goals," he said. "That was the biggest plus. We’ve been confident going into all the games but there's nothing like scoring four goals away from home to boost that.

"I think we'll see a Blackpool side trying to make sure they don’t concede and to work hard for the entire game. I don’t expect there to be a minutes’ peace for the players on the pitch.

He added: "Everyone has a clean bill of health – obviously we know that we’re going to be without Yaser (Kasim) but Fabien Robert has come through his problem and so have Jeremy Balmy and Brandon Ormonde-Ottewill."

Earlier this week Town completed the signing of Jamie Sendles-White on a deal until the end of the season.

"He's settled in well," said Williams. "He’s been at the club in pre-season and some of the fans might remember him playing against Everton here at the County Ground. There have been a few changes but there will have been plenty of players that he would have met in the summer and he has picked up that relationship."
