ON-LOAN defender Jack Stephens says that Town deserved a point at Ashton Gate on Saturday.
Speaking to the media post-match, the debutant admitted that Swindon rode their luck but a hard-working performance from the side earned them a share of the spoils.
"All the lads worked really hard and overall it was a great point," he said. "We definitely rode our luck at times but the way we worked and with all our performances I think we deserved that.
"There were a few frantic moments but I felt they didn't put too much pressure on us. All the lads worked really hard, not just the back four and we definitely deserved a point."
Having joined up with the squad on Friday, Stephens lauded the contribution of central-defensive partner, Troy Archibald-Henville in helping him to settle so quickly.
"There was not too much time (spent together on Friday) but sometimes that can be a good thing," he explained. "Troy has helped me through a lot. He's a very good player, he's been there, he's done it. We only had Friday to get together but we all did really well today."
