Swindon Town Women are delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Ellie Strippel on a two-year contract, subject to FA approval.
The 22-year-old maestro spent last season’s 2022/23 campaign at fellow Division One South West team, Portishead Town Football Club with previous spells at Bridgewater United, Yeovil Town and Bristol City.
Strippel, was also part of the successful 2018/19 ECFA Women’s Team that won the Il Calcio é Rosa in Rome in 2019, while also being named ECFA Women’s National Team Player of the Year 2018/19.
Swindon Town Women’s Manager, Mike Cook said: “I’m delighted to have Ellie on board for the 2023/24 campaign and I’m really excited to start working with her over the next couple of weeks.”
Upon joining the club, Ellie added: “It feels so good to officially be a Swindon Town player.”
“I’ve heard really good things about the club prior to signing and I’m really looking forward to starting the season. I had some great conversations with the Manager [Mike Cook] and he was really keen to get me on board for this season.”
